Chopard meets Disney

I’ve had quite a lot of interest in my blog about the 2012 Christmas window displays in Harrods. Harrods has now gone one step further with their Disney collaboration.  Legendary jeweller Chopard has teamed up with Harrods as well to produce their Haute Joaillerie line which continues with their Walt Disney Princess theme. Each Disney Princess has their own piece, all of which have been perfectly designed to fit with that character. The jewellery comes in a range of necklaces, earrings and broaches all of which have been hand-crafted with an array of jewels. The jewellery is in store now and can be found in the Fine Jewellery Room until the end of December. I don’t think I would wear any of the pieces myself, however I do think that this collaboration with Disney is the best I’ve seen.

Christmas at Harrods

Christmas has come early in London. Many of the main department stores in and around London have been unveiling their Christmas window displays but my favourite by far is the Harrods meets Disney collaboration. I am a complete sucker for anything Disney related and I am dying to get down to London to visit Harrods just to see the windows. What makes these displays even more impressive are the collection of infamous designers featured, the 10 window dressings include clothing from incandescent designers such as Escada, Versace and Roberto Cavalli. These displays are accompanied by a 7,000 square ft Disney Princess pop-up boutique which is now open, it features limited edition product and breath taking dress up items. If you really want to be a Disney Princess they have an experience whereby you can visit the Disney Princess Parlour. Everything about this combination is perfect, from the modern adaptation of the iconic Disney dresses to the glass slippers being sold. If you want to relive your childhood again I would definitely get down to Harrods this Christmas for a once in a lifetime experience.
